Grief Workshops

Cornerstone of Hope offers routine grief workshops for anyone who would like to better understand grief and loss. Workshops vary in length and style between one day seminars and topical recurring series offerings.

Support-Group-scaled-1

Grief Matters is a monthly education workshop series designed to provide opportunities to explore and manage grief in new ways. Recognizing that the experience of grief is both unique and universal, Grief Matters offers additional support for those striving to learn, grow, connect, and heal.

Each month, a topic or activity is presented that may help improve wellness and coping through education, self-care, and emotional expression. Participants are encouraged to try new skills and incorporate them into their lives if appropriate for their personal grief journey. Please join us on the last Wednesday of each month for a different topic or activity … because your grief matters!

When Words Aren't Enough: Creative Pathways To Grief

Wednesday, July 29,  2026

Sometimes grief leaves us without words. This workshop is designed for those moments. “When Words Aren’t Enough” offers a supportive, creative space to explore loss through art, symbols, and reflection. Through gentle, guided activities, you’ll have the opportunity to express what may feel difficult to name, while honoring the ongoing connection you hold with those you’ve lost. Whether your grief is recent or long-held, you are welcome here, just as you are.

Unmasking Our Grief

Wednesday, August 26, 2026

In our demanding world, we often feel the need to hide the pain of grief. But there is healing in being seen.

Come explore a gentle art activity and make your grief mask. What is the face you show the world? And what is the real face of your grief? All materials and supplies will be provided.

Facilitated by Annie Dalby, LISW-S
Annie received her certificate of completion from the Wellstreams Training Program in Spiritual Formation in 2009. She serves as a spiritual director, clinician, and group facilitator for Cornerstone of Hope.

Journaling For Grief

Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Research shows that writing can be a helpful strategy to work through situations and struggles, including grief and loss. You’re invited to learn more about the benefits of writing and to explore different ways that writing can help to express thoughts and feelings, preserve memories of loved ones, and connect us with others who are facing similar challenges. This workshop will incorporate creative and journal-based writing prompts, discuss healthy coping skills, and offer an opportunity to personalize your own journal.  Supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own journal as well.

Grief Coffee House

Wednesday, October 28, 2026

Please join us for a “Grief Coffee House,” a time and space for you to share your creative works with the wider grieving community.  We welcome all creative outlets (i.e. poetry, music, photography, etc.) that you have created along your grief journey."  Refreshments and supportive encouragement will also be provided.
