Grief Workshops

Cornerstone of Hope offers routine grief workshops for anyone who would like to better understand grief and loss. Workshops vary in length and style between one day seminars and topical recurring series offerings.

Support-Group-scaled-1

Grief Matters is a monthly education workshop series designed to provide opportunities to explore and manage grief in new ways. Recognizing that the experience of grief is both unique and universal, Grief Matters offers additional support for those striving to learn, grow, connect, and heal.

Each month, a topic or activity is presented that may help improve wellness and coping through education, self-care, and emotional expression. Participants are encouraged to try new skills and incorporate them into their lives if appropriate for their personal grief journey. Please join us on the last Wednesday of each month for a different topic or activity … because your grief matters!

Grief Resolutions

Wednesday, January 31, 2024

As we turn the calendar page into a new year, many of us look forward to a “fresh start” and new opportunities to make resolutions, set personal goals, and change our lives in positive ways. However, the start of a new year can also bring unique challenges and hardships as we grieve the loss of a loved one. Please join us for an evening of education and conversation as we explore ways to find hope and healing for the year ahead. Tips and strategies for setting “grief goals,” coping, and self-care will be shared as well.

Picking Up the Pieces: Honoring Grief & Connection Through the Art of Kinsugi

Wednesday, February 28, 2024

Join us for an evening of grief education, support and therapeutic art. What do you do with the pieces of a favorite dish or cherished antique when it has broken? We often discard the item because it is damaged and therefore no longer valuable. The Ancient Japanese Art of Kintsugi, beautifully repairs these broken pieces. Meaning “golden joinery,” Kintsugi encourages us to embrace and honor the damage as a beautiful, valuable part of its history. This is a powerful metaphor for the experience of healing from grief.

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one and are in need of support, we are here to serve.
