The Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team offers free support for traumatic loss survivors in Delaware, Morrow, Marion, and Crawford Counties.

We provide timely response, resources, and follow-up for those most impacted by:

Support Groups

Cornerstone of Hope offers support groups on a quarterly basis for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, homicide, or substance related death.

All are welcome, regardless of ethnic, cultural, and faith backgrounds. Professionally trained and experienced facilitators lead these groups and strive to cultivate a safe, supportive environment.

To participate in a support group, you must complete an assessment by the dates to the right by calling 833-634-HOPE, or comleting the Interest Form below.

Topic-specific groups are offered based on client interest and will be announced two months prior to group start.

Survivors of Suicide Loss Group Support Network

This group support network is for adults looking to learn more about suicide loss or for those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.

Each session uses a survivor focused approach and features individual and group peer support, resources and information, activities and events. This program is open to all, regardless of ethnic, cultural and faith backgrounds.

These sessions are free to attend but registration in advance is required.

We are actively recruiting volunteers. If you or someone you know is in a place in their journey where you are ready to serve and help, let’s talk.

Our volunteers serve in many capacities, and training and ongoing support are built into the framework of our volunteer network. After completing an application and background check, volunteers attend a day of training to introduce them to the unique mission of this team and to equip them with the skills needed for success.  Our next volunteer training session is listed below.

Grief Support Group Facilitator Training

Cornerstone of Hope is the leading provider of bereavement services in Ohio. Aside from the programs we offer to grieving children, teens, and adults, we also provide support for suicide, homicide, and substance-related loss through the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team. Cornerstone of Hope has developed a program to train professionals to facilitate grief support groups.

Eligible participants must reside or work in Marion, Crawford, Delaware, or Morrow counties (proof of such will be required upon sign-in) and include clinical counselors, social workers, therapists, psychologists, first responders, ministers, and others in the helping field. We are looking for qualities that include but are not limited to the following:

  • Knowledge of traumatic loss and grief
  • Trauma informed practice
  • Flexibility to facilitate group sessions

Candidates that complete the training will be recieve 12 CEUs and are eligible for contracted work with the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team to facilitate support groups.
