Grief Matters is a monthly education workshop series designed to provide opportunities to explore and manage grief in new ways. Recognizing that the experience of grief is both unique and universal, Grief Matters offers additional support for those striving to learn, grow, connect, and heal.
Each month, a topic or activity is presented that may help improve wellness and coping through education, self-care, and emotional expression. Participants are encouraged to try new skills and incorporate them into their lives if appropriate for their personal grief journey. Please join us on the last Wednesday of each month for a different topic or activity … because your grief matters!

Join us for an evening of education and reflection as we explore
grief coping skills. During this event, participants will be making a personalized “Coping Skills Menu” to outline a list of helpful tools to navigate their grieving journeys. We will explore different categories of coping skills, including their benefits and limitations, and select ones to add to your “menu” that might be most helpful in your daily routine. Engage in practicing select coping skills like Mindfulness and Emotional release, and learn from other grievers about what strategies have been most helpful for them!

We live in a world that can be intolerant of grieving individuals and the grief process itself. After the death of our loved ones, the expectation is often that we return to “life as usual” as quickly as possible. In this session of Grief Matters, we will examine the hurdles faced by those who grieve, peering through the lens of individual, family, and societal expectations as we endeavor to claim and offer ourselves compassion in the midst of grief.
